Jan Sherbak, PsyD
Dr. Sherbak is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice and the Clinical Director of Solace, LLC, an intensive outpatient eating disorder clinic. In her private practice, she provides interpersonal, internal family systems (IFS) and cognitive/behavioral approaches in treating both adolescents and adults experiencing various mental health and life transitional issues, as well as treating individuals suffering from an eating disorder.
Dr. Sherbak co-founded Solace in 2001 when she recognized a large gap in treatment options for patients struggling with eating disorders. She has recently expanded that program to include treatment for compulsive overeating and binge eating disorders.
Dr. Sherbak has been the EDCT-Chattanooga Regional Coordinator since its inception. She is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS), past President of Chattanooga Area Psychological Association (CAPA), active on committes for the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp) and a long-standing member of other professional organizations throughout the country.
Dr. Sherbak is currently working on several research projects focused on treatment outcomes and maintenance of treatment gains. She resides in Chattanooga with her family.
