June 13 - Negative self-talk can be all-consuming, taking over every thought that goes through your head. Often, your mind just needs a break from the spinning of thoughts that never seems to stop. How about downward facing dog? Child’s pose? Research shows that different practices of yoga (with the exception of hot yoga, which can be dangerous to your health) help to break that cycle of negative self-esteem and encourage the development of a positive self-image. Read the following article from Huffington Post to learn five ways that a regular yoga practice can help heal body image issues: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/05/29/yoga-for-selfacceptance-5_n_3348153.html?utm_hp_ref=eating-disorders

The Dove® Campaign for Real Beauty

dove_logo.jpgFebruary 24th - March 2nd is National Eating Disorder Awareness Week. Our social media theme for this week is A Disordered Society. We chose this theme in order to highlight the negative effects that the western society has on the occurrence of eating disorders. But we'd like to begin our week by recognizing a company that is working hard to present a positive message about body image to the public.
